The TDS3000 series DPO has become a world leader in low cost, high performance, and portability. To maintain this position, Tektronix has recently introduced the TDS3000B series. It enhances performance and portability, allowing you to gain greater value from the TDS3000B series. The TDS3000B series provides all the benefits of Tektronix's digital phosphor technology and DPX™ in an economical test instrument. DPO technology enables viewing, storing, and analyzing complex signals, offering a three-dimensional understanding of signal information with rich color gradation and intensity-graded waveform images. Now, with the TDS3000B series, you can achieve even more powerful capabilities, including hardware upgrades such as faster waveform capture rates (up to 3,600 waveforms per second in Fast Trigger mode). It also adds WaveAlert automatic waveform anomaly detection, e*Scope™ web-based remote control, an integrated Ethernet port for high-speed connectivity, and new analysis modules that expand mathematical operations and measurement functions.

The TDS3000/TDS3000B series can meet various specific application needs through a range of application modules (optional). There are seven types of application modules compatible with the TDS3000 series, which can be installed at any time to meet your testing requirements.
1. Telecom Mask Test Application Module——TDS3TMT 
TDS3TMT features a "user mask" function, which can be used for telecom or non-telecom mask testing. If your TDS3000/B is equipped with the TDS3TMT application module, you can immediately perform standard telecom mask testing. Using the oscilloscope's WaveStar software (WSTROV4.0), you can also create and edit user masks (even for non-telecom applications). Supports ITU-T G.703 (DSO, DS1, E1, Clk interface, DS2, E2, E3, and DS3 rates) standards. Supports ANSI T1.102 (DS1, DS1A, DS2, DS3, and STS-1 rates) standards.
2. Analysis Module——This module adds analytical capabilities to the TDS3000/B series oscilloscopes. Users can define waveforms as various arbitrary mathematical expressions, including mathematical functions, constants, and measured values. The module also adds Area and Cycle Area measurements, differentiation and integration functions, average measurements, and measurement statistics. Additionally, the FFT capabilities of the TDS3FFT module can be included.
3. FFT Module for Harmonic Analysis——TDS3FFT FFT provides frequency and harmonic analysis functions. When this module is installed in the TDS3000/B series oscilloscope, the instrument becomes a comprehensive diagnostic tool to assist in power supply design and analysis. With the TDS3FFT module, you can examine harmonics under power supply load current. Using the oscilloscope's cursors, you can measure the frequency and amplitude of individual frequency components.
4. Trigger Application Module——TDS3TRG adds triggering capabilities such as logic and pulse triggering to the oscilloscope.
Logic Trigger Function: Logic triggering is extremely useful for troubleshooting digital circuits. The oscilloscope triggers when two signals meet a Boolean trigger condition. This module provides both pattern and state logic triggering modes.
Pulse Trigger Function: Pulse triggering allows the oscilloscope to trigger when a signal meets certain timing or threshold conditions. This trigger module provides three pulse triggering modes: pulse width, runt pulse, and slew rate.
